About Our Cattery
Spot of Silver Cattery is a small, family-run cattery located in Fort Worth, Texas, just minutes from the DFW Airport. We are dedicated to raising exceptional Toygers and Egyptian Maus with a strong focus on health, temperament, and quality.
Our cats and kittens are raised in our home as one of our family members. From an early age, they receive daily love, attention, and enrichment while interacting with our children and other household pets. This hands-on approach helps them develop into confident, well-socialized companions that transition smoothly into their forever homes.
Our Commitments
Health Testing
All breeding cats are DNA tested for hereditary conditions such as PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease), PK-Def (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency), and other breed-specific concerns. Every other year our breeding cats are also taken in and screened for HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy). Our cattery is a FeLV negative tested cattery.
Our Kittens
Kittens grow up in our home with children, dogs, small animals and everyday noise — confident from day one. Each kitten can leave here at 12 weeks old, will have age appropriate vaccinations and will be spayed or neutered before leaving our home.
Nutrition
Each kitten goes home with details of their current diet, which includes dry food, a variety of raw and cooked foods, and vitamin supplements. For raw and cooked foods we rotate between Viva, Smalls, chicken wings and chicken thighs.
Pick-Up & Transportation
If you cannot make it here to pick-up, we're happy to work with families with delivery either meeting half-way or the majority in Texas and surrounding states — included but not limited to: Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. An arrangement with the transportation companies are also an option, along with meeting at DFW Airport for a convenient pickup at the terminal.
