The Toyger
A designer cat breed created by Judy Sugden, the Toyger resembles that large, wild tiger in miniature. Those bold, dark stripes over a warm glowing, glitter coat — just a tiger that fits in your lap! We strive for type to fit the TICA breed standard: clean vertical stripe flow, rich contrast, a rounded ear profile, and above all, great health and temperament. We plan on having the only recognized color in the breed standard of Toygers, that unforgettable yet vibrant orange. In addition, we will also be working with silver to hopefully contribute to the recognition of this white-tiger look in the years to come!
TICA Registered Cattery
Spot of Silver Cattery is registered with The International Cat Association (TICA). Our cattery adheres to TICA’s Voluntary Code of Ethics.
Health First
Genetic testing on all breeding cats for genetic issues such as Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and Pyruvate Kinase (PK) Deficiency, along with yearly veterinary exams. Every cat we keep or add are tested negative for Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) before introduced to our program.
Our Kittens
Kittens grow up in our home with children, dogs, small animals and everyday noise — confident from day one. Each kitten can leave here at 10-12 weeks old and will have age appropriate vaccinations and will also be spayed or neutered. All kittens are registered with TICA and will include a written 1- year health guarantee.
